Upon Completion of this Seminar the participant shall be able to:
Define Muscle Energy Technique and understand proper application for the patient.
Identify Segmental/Somatic Dysfunction in the Spine, Pelvis and Ribcage and apply MET
Identify restrictions in selected joints of extremities and apply MET
Review 10 step screen and complete a full body assessment applying manual medicine principles
Apply MET and corrective exercise to enhance recovery with whiplash injuries
Discuss the Restrictive Barrier Concept and its importance in the application of MET.
Demonstrate proper palpation skills and mobility testing in assessing the need for MET.
Understand corrective exercises to apply after performing MET, and the consequences of treatment application.
